|EYE BAG REMOVAL|
Nothing ages a face more than the eyes. As we get older, it is common to develop lower eye bags and hooding of the upper eyelid, which can make us look tired and older, adding years to the whole face. An eye-bag removal procedure can effectively address this problem, removing loose skin, surplus fatty tissue and relaxed muscle in the eye lids, to produce a more youthful, lively appearance.
This operation is carried out as a day case. The upper and lower lids may be operated on either separately or together. When surgery is carried out only on the upper eyelids, a local anesthetic may be all that is required.
To correct lower eye bags, a fine incision is made just below the eyelash line and the excess fat and skin is removed. Upper eyelids are corrected by the removal of a strip of skin in the natural crease of the eyelid.
There will be some pink scarring along the inner margin of the lower lash line and socket line to the upper lid, which will normally fade quickly to leave faint white lines. There will also be some bruising and swelling during the recovery period. Stitches are normally removed 3 to 7 days after surgery and most people return to work between 7 and 14 days after the procedure.
Tip of the day >>Toe nails should be cut straight across, this helps to strengthen nails and discourage ingrown toe nails.
